MY STORY

I was born in London, but spent most of my childhood in Stockholm, with my British Dad, my Swedish Mum and my 3 brothers.

My Mum encouraged me to draw and paint from a young age and she would often pay me to make birthday cards. My Dad would frequently paint and I observed with amazement as the watercolours did their magic on the wet papers.

Art and design felt natural to me, and people would tell me how good I was at it. It was therefore no surprise to my family and friends when I decided to study art and design in Highschool where I grew up in Stockholm.

While studying, however, I saw that a very large amount of art was created to provoke, disgust and shock people. The beauty, value and purpose of art was somehow lost for me in the many modern art exhibitions that I encountered. I lost my inspiration and decided to do something else.

I took a break from art, studied Korean at Stockholm University for two years and then completed a student exchange program in South Korea, which broadened my mind. After a few months, I moved to England. It was here that I got married to the love of my life.

I regained my inspiration for art around six years ago when I was asked to promote events for a charity that I was working for. It led me to develop a deep interest and passion for graphic design and since then I have been creating banners, posters, logos and leaflets for various organisations, businesses, bloggers and NGOs. Recent changes have made this move into freelancing a possibility.

I feel for the first time in my life that I have found my calling - what I was made to do.

For me, graphic design is the most useful and enjoyable form of art, and a powerful tool to move people.
